Re: Yildiz .410 Single Shot Sumtoy. Years ago there were some that had issues with FTF and one of the recommendations was to slam the action shut. Others said that would be a no-no. The gun has to be fully closed to fire. The "others" are correct about slamming it close to ensure lock up.

About two weeks ago, I just got a Yildiz Single Break Open shotgun TK-12 from retail sporting store - academy sports in the U.S.A. here, and it's an awesome shotgun for the price. kicks like a mule, but not too bad after I installed a recoil pad on the back stock.

For those that don't have an Academy Sports in your area you wont find a Yildiz more than likely because they are imported by Academy in Katy Texas from Burdur Turkey. This shotgun is as light as they come and a good shooter.

In shooting it to check pattern, and also squirrel hunting, I am experiencing a failure to fire about every 10th shot. I'm thinking grease in the firing pin spring.

I debated between the Yildiz 410 and the RIA. The price difference between them was minimal, maybe $20. The Yildiz had real wooden furniture, but it just felt light and insubstantial, unlike the Yildiz 12-gauge. The RIA has a composite stock and foregrip, but the gun feels much more substantial.
